Has anyone using the Xenon Racing CNC Motor Mount noticed any increase in motor cooling from it?

We're heading into our outdoor season and it can get quite toasty here in the midwest. So if there is a difference in cooling compared to the stock mount, then I'd be interested in getting one.

Thanks.

I guess another question to add to that motor mount: Is it any lighter than the original, since it could be machined down in certain spots? I'm pretty sure this is the key reason the TA05 has its weight issues.. the diffs, turnbuckles, shock towers, steering mechanism all weigh the same as its 415 counterpart, but the 05 motor mount must weigh more than the MSX' bulkheads and motor mount combined..

With the Xenon chassis, full gear, rubber tires, I'm running around 1550 with IB3800's. Granted, I do have alu steering (soon to be swapped with hard carbon parts) alu suspension mounts as well as regular suspension, but Ti Turnbuckles, Ti screws, alu rear dogbones, etc. should have saved it some kind of weight.. many people I know racing the tubs still hit 1600g..

Thankfully our spec GT2 pack, the Peak 2400, is over 100g less than our 3300's and 3800's, but still.. will the R version address this in any way?

Has anyone charted the weight difference between aluminum and stock parts?

well from a theory perspective, anythin machined will remove heat better than from a cast unit. in addition i do see some cooling ribs.

JAM-EHZ..Another thing I wonder is if the weight savings of a 2400 over a 3800 is better than the increase avg. voltage the 3800 has over the 2400. I would assume 100g weight savings to be superior over the voltage. i'm seriously considering getting a nicely matched 2400 for the upcoming TCS race here in june for my TA05. What are your thoughts??--Al

Cool

Is it realy 100grams differece between 2400-3800? What about between 2400-3800? I have now 2 1700 and 2 2400 and I didn't see that much difference
there may be 5g-10g.

Voltage is more important.

Got my carbon components fitted yesterday and my car now weights 1487 grams. This is with IB3800 packs, monster stock motor, S9550 servo, spektrum receiver, G11 Pro speedo, AMB Pt and a Protoform Mazda 6 body. Only thing left now would be the tamiya ti drive axles. Only non TCS legal part fitted would be the tech racing carbon steering plate which is similar to the Tamiya version. A few more options being release in the future will definitely make the car hit the 1450 gram weight easily.

Yes, got all 3 parts. Carbon parts took out around 18 grams. Ive also got the the 3 racing alloy bulkheads and motor mount coming to complete the blue bling. Im sticking to the tub chassis. I will post pics once everything is here and hopefully the weight will still be under 1500 grams.

Thats pretty much what I thought. But its also nice to have some first hand input by someone who owns one and has tried it.

Kilruf, I'm thinking of buying the center 1-way from techracing (TTA-190).
The pulley teeth is the same as TTA-180 (yours), right ?
I hope it'll be faster .... what do you think ?
