I just had one niggle last night, running the CVD's on the rear, when I tightened the wheel nut, the plastic wheel hex fouled the outer bearing causing a slight bind, swapped to TB-02 ones and fine... will have to invest in some alloy ones soon.

The red spring that came with my pro-module suspension measured at 6.42 lb/in. I don't have the other springs you mentioned. The 414x was way before my time.

Does anyone know where to get a supply of 2.6mm screws? Mine fell out of my front one-way, and they're not too common to find at most shops..

Also might want a few extra for the spur gear cover..

www.speedtechrc.com sells the short spring sets and the individual pairs.

So does www.Towerhobbies.com

i would venture a guess that the next toy show towards the end of the year will have the TA05-R. all the carbon parts are going out already.. so tamiya is following their marketing scheme to the T.

TB-02R came out a year after the original.

I'm guessing ealier...maybe the yearly Shizuoka hobby show in May. The TA05 was released right about June/Julyish last year (fellow TCS racers will remember the mad rush of trying to get one before the nats), so Hebiki, your time line looks to be about right.

I have those. but with the pre-load collar at full top the ride height gets just around 5mm..

I have the short springs on order from SpeedTech..

I currently have some LOSI JRXS springs mounted and if i didn't know any better i would think they were made for this car.. Fit/length is perfect.. Hope the TAMIYA shorties are similar.

Default Allowed To Race ?

Hi Guys,

I'd like to pose a question to you ?

What would your reaction be to the organisers of the TCS enforcing a rule which states that if you intend racing a Tamiya chassis/kit which was not purchased locally you will be forced to pay an additional race entry fee and even if you do pay the additional fee you will not qualify for any prizes.

I already have confirmation from Tamiya America that a racer is allowed to use any Tamiya kit as long as it is legal for the class you want to race regardless of where it was purchased.

I would like to get a similar confirmation from Tamiya Japan does anybody know how I could contact Tamiya Japan ?.

Man, .......that SUCKS !

When that happens here, I'll boycott the organisers and "encourage" others buddies to do the same !

I think you need to report them to Tamiya, they will loose their TCS Status!
