Haha ya, I just turned 42! So far I have crashed my Gt-v2e 5 times at speeds over 50mph and all it did was grind down the body posts and wheels. These cars are very durable so far. The only issue is some slop in the steering (pretty common with all rc's) thats an easy fix. Some people have reported rear center shaft issues on the rtr version. If you get the pro version you should be good for anything. I crashed the car at 80mph and hit a curb sideways with no issues. I documented my journey to 100mph so if you get bored check my out on youtube Road to 100mph video's. Search jstall7543. Hope this helps. I have a gtp2e and this car feels so much better and more stable, I'm loving it!

Thanks. I watched a couple of your vids. Very nice work and right up my ally. Would be the Pro roller with MMM/2200 and as much battery as I can afford. TP Pro Race 65c 2s x 2 for starters. Love that dual tray setup.

I would definitely get the pro version as I have been up grading the rtr version and the aluminum parts for this car are really expensive and you would be money ahead buying the pro!

Right on. Sounds like tires are the only necessity out of the box. Ofna might as well make their's out of the same plastic as the rims.

Ha Ha Ya, the stock tires are way loose! I pretty much ruined the rear tires in one battery because my street is so ruff, the centers wore quick from the ballooning!

Thunder power batteries are awesome, I have several but I think I should tell you about SMC lipo's, that's what I'm using from now on as they are very affordable and they deliver the power big time! They just got banned from RCTECH because they were making to much money using this site for customer service. The thread is still here with hundreds of positive reviews. Customer service is key and Danny delivers! Anyway Check them out as I'm very impressed with their batteries regardless of cost. These are not cheap gens ace batteries, they are really high quality at a realistic price. I'm not affiliated, just really happy with the newer line of SMC batteries.

Thanks for the tip. I've run the Gen's Ace and Sky with some success but they definitely have a limited life span. TP's have been solid but 3s starts getting mega expensive. Will check the SMC's out. As long as they can handle the current demands should be fine. And you can't go wrong with a name like Danny

Looking like Tower has the best deal with the coupon? Has anybody seen anything less than $330 shipped?

That does look like a good deal, is it the Pro kit or RTR?

$338 out the door. Seems like a good deal. Advantage Hobby was the most expensive I found.
