All I know is that when changing from the standard arms to graphite, I got much more steering.

Are the graphite arms still very durable? I don't crash a lot (at least not now) but curious to try them out if they make the handling more responsive.

well I haven't noticed that they are more fragile or not.

Default T4 Double Jointed Driveshafts

The XRay CVJ leaflet and the X4 manual say different things. There is a discrepancy!
On the leaflet it says foam racing use 50mm or rubber racing use 52mm.

In the manual it says:"50mm shafts are recommended for small-medium tight asphalt tracks."
In the manual it says:"52mm shafts are recommended for carpet and large asphalt tracks."
In other words, in the manual there is no talk of foam or rubber racing, so no emphasis on the sort of tyres. In the manual the amphasis lays in the sort of track.

Also in the manual:"Longer drive shafts (52mm) make the car easier to drive because they
give more traction and better stability, mainly in chicanes. However, the
car will understeer more than with shorter (50mm) shafts which give a lot
of steering and impart aggression to the car."

I am somewhat torn as to use which shaft under which conditions...... (I mean the length).

Please elaborate.

Club conditions are: short tight track, low grip
Nats tracks are various: long tracks and short tracks, low to medium grip.

Default Savox Servo

HK sells the T4 including
Savox SC-1251MG
or Savox SC-1252MG

Which one best to pick?

When I asked about this a few years ago a UK team driver posted that there were no 'rules' with regard to choosing a driveshaft length.
The final conclusion was that you just have to try both at the different circuits to see how they feel.

I have been using the 1252 most recently, they tweaked the gearing or something, it's faster but with less torque, end result is I actually like the 1252 in my main car better than the 1251's in my other cars, just because it does feel faster.

I can only get 80% steering with my savox servo's on my xray t4 i have the 1251 and 1252.

Have them since begin of this year... Could they be broke??

I installed my old kopropo and steering 100% and didnt need 150% epa at left or right at all about 132 left and 137 right. I do have a sanwa mt4 radio.

I can't say for sure as I don't have a T4 yet, but I do have the MT4, and on my Photon EX I'm like 115% by the looks of my settings, which I think is about right using the 51 or 52 from memory on my own cars, I don't ever set the full lock till it's touching, always little away from the stops, as you don't want it to touch or risk touching if you have to trim during a meet.

Really I was back on like 100% recently and had enough steering at my last meeting, I think it went back to 100% cause I did a model reset for reasons I can't remember, but excluding something about the T4 that needs more throw, I can't think why you may not have enough throw.

Actually thinking back, I think on mine I wound in the limit screws on my wheel and re calibrated my MT4 or something like that at one point, though not by a lot, but I'd be checking you end point calibration to see if everything looks in order with that.

i had the same problem, set all endpoints to 100 and take the servo horn off, when all trims are at neutral reattach the servo horn,it wont sit at 90deg so make sure it leans towards the top deck, you then use subtrim to cener it then adjust your end points, that should be problem solved, thats how i did mine to get the full lock, remember though that the t4 only has 24/5 degrees of travel either way
if you really want full lock you have to mod it,but after i did the mod i reverted back to the way it should be,go back about 10/15 pages and the pics are there of how i got full lock, the other thing is are you using the xray servo saver? if so you need it in the top hole ,this gives more throw

Wow I'm having the same issue with my t4, savox 1251 and steering mod. One side has 150EPA and the other side has 110. Also using an Airtronics mt4.

Admittedly, I have my servo horn leaning slightly away from the top deck, bc I don't think the savox servos can be perfectly 90deg

Il try turning it the other direction and then straightening it out

I use a 1251 in my T4 and a ko eurus. I have my travel set at 135 and I get 26* in both directions. I was able to get my servo at almost 90*. I have yet to have any steering issues. I am not sure about bother radios but the eurus has so many different steering adjustments that I can fix most any problems.

Did you adjust subtrim to straighten out the servo?

You actually want the servo horn to lean slightly toward the top deck to get the most even EPAs.

Yeah. Just a few clicks. But that's why I said my servo saver is at almost 90*. I have never had a servo sit dead on with out subtrim.
