Have to disagree Damien, I ran without the rear roll bar at Eastbourne in the SRL in my last final leg as I was struggling with set up - set the fastest lap and apart from a couple of bad laps (bit of unfortunate maneuvers by other drivers as I was getting past them ) would have won that leg.
Wish I had taken it off a bit earlier

Interesting. I have thinner roll bars in case needed, but I never take them off completely as when I used to do that (a few years ago now) it felt good and did increase rear grip, my lap times suffered as it seemed to be worse on parts of the tracks with changes in direction.
There was always something else that could be changed to give me a better result.
I have never removed them since

530CST shock oil front and rear

shocks laid all the way down front and rear
rear diff 2000 oil
stock sway bars and everything else is from stock setup.

I have all the option sway bars and springs to test out just not sure which setting I should touch first
I agree that your oil is a bit thick. Which piston are you running? To get more steering I would start by adding 1mm of of shims to your steering rack for a total of 2mm. After that, go to the short camber links front and rear. Finally shorten your wheelbase in the front and rear of the car by 1mm (bring the front arms back and the rear arms forward).

Sound familiar Damian?

I wanted to try thinner bars but only had thicker ones for the rear, no-one else running the T4 had any thinner, so decided to remove it completely.
Funny though at Eastbourne the times improved considerably

Normally like you I always run roll bars.

Thanks for the tips guys. What do you mean by "go to the short camber links front and rear"

This is the track I run at

The length of your upper links. Run the shortest links available.

You mean remove all the shims under the camber links?

At Eastbourne i went thinner on front roll bar, 1.3mm, but left the rear at 1.2mm (my default is 1.3mm at the rear) for my fastest laps

Hmm, there is something familiar about it

Have you found the extra shims on ackerman help through slower corners, or just in general?

If you look on Xray's own forum the top drivers all run with thicker oil.

I run on carpet & ashpalt, when I first had my T4 I ran with kit oil in the rear diff changed it to 2000 and would NEVER go back to 700, the car is so much better with the thicker oil.

Never ever say no to any change advised, try it, if you don't like the difference it makes go back, but it is always worth trying something
My reasoning is... Thicker oil will give more even power to both rear wheels upon acceleration and make the rear end loose. Thinner diff oil will give more power to the wheel with less grip and the rear end will have less contribution than the front end upon acceleration which will make the car more stable coming out of a turn.
If my problem is understeering I would change my diff oil to thicker one.

I had great luck with no rear bar and a very light front bar (thanks Paul L. for the loaner) at the Reedy Race this past weekend. The car was very easy to drive and felt really consistent corner to corner. The key was a relatively stiff set of springs from RSD. My setup is here.

No, they mean the hole in the upper clamps that the link screws into.
Use hole 1, not 2 or 3.
If you look at a proper Xray setup sheet you'll see what I mean.

Why such a high rear link (compared with the front)?

Did you try any slightly softer sprtings like the RSD Silver's or Grren's?
What did you think?
