NeuMotor 1527/1D 2,300Kv Motor, thoughts? Will I be melting ESC's and puffing lipos left and right or will this run happy just like a Tekin T8 but much much faster. Similar runtimes or way less?

http://www.serpent.com/product/600043/spares/list/

Click view product and u see what cars the part will fit.

And vice versa...
http://www.serpent.com/product/600004/spares/list/

From what I can see its only towers, bodyposts, bumper and shocks that differs?

Looks like they use the C-Hub truggy 12 L+R (#600373) instead of the 10 one as well.

I have copied the parts lists from the manuals of the 811-be, GT-e, and GT Nitro into an excel speadsheet. So far no unique parts on the GT-e that cant be found on the 811 or the nitro. I messed around last night color coding the common parts. I made it through the shocks section. Anyone on here good with excel? I am pretty sure someone smarter than me could set the conditional logic so that if a specific value (ie part number appeared in all 3 columns it would shade those cells blue for example. Or if a value only appeared in column A (811-be) and B (GT-e) color those cells red. Or B anc C the cell would be green. It will make it very easy at a glance to see what is common to what. Only about 20% done and doing it manually is taking forever.

I could put what I have done so far up on google docs and share it so everyone can see it. Site wont let me post links yet so I could PM the link and that person could post it up here.

That was a plan I had. But after seeing the A arms, chassie etc are the same as the 811e I dont think there arent much more than the components stated above that differs..

I was thinking about picking up a buggy and converting it so I did not have to wait 2-3 weeks but my luck is the parts I would need are prob BO and that is the reason for the delay in the first place.

The spec on the max motor size is 68mm according to Serpents description and looking at pics of the 811-be buggy it looks like people are barely squeezing in the T8 buggy motors.

But the 71mm T8 does fit. There's 1 running at out track fitted with the T8/2650KV, so I think the description needs to be changed.
I have the GT at home with the LRP motor installed (from the Serpent site pictures) which is 68mm, I will measure the amount of space still available tonight, to give a clear answer.

Motor housing is 4 inch (if I see correct from the CC site) which is 100mm... only 71mm will fit, the rest you have to leave at home..... :D

What would you suggest as the biggest baddest motor that would fit, any ideas? I forgot to look at the length on the 1527, duh! My mistake.

Bhodi11 08-30-2012 07:41 AM

Im also curious if there will be any wheelbase adjustment like the 811-be?

M7H 08-30-2012 07:48 AM

As for biggest baddest motor choice
I don't know, am not really into speedruns.

Maybe a Neu 1515/2700kv on 4S will work.
or a 1515/2200kv on 6S (which should be faster)
Maybe a Tekin T8 on 6S, but I don't know if the have a 2000kv + motor which can handle 6S.....

As for wheelbase adjustment, I guess it is possible because it is basically the same car.

Thanks! I really just want it to be faster than the usual stuff everyone goes with. I already have CC and Tekin motors but have always heard good things about NEU.

Bhodi11 08-30-2012 08:07 AM

Do you have the weight of the GT-e minus electronics and batteries? Thanks.

M7H 08-30-2012 08:10 AM

If money is not an option.
For the ESC:

For the motor:

And I think you are able to create the fastest thing on the planet.....
