YOKOMO Touring Car BD-7

Thanks for your help and advice Gents! Did not fall on deaf ears. Much appreciated. MikeGar, I dream of racing but New Hampshire is a ghost town for tracks. Hobby Stores are almost the same. Closest one is Hobby Town and we all know that's more of a Toy store than a true RC store. I would love to open something up but I wouldn't know where or how to start.
Any tips or lining up and reaming holes for body posts? It came with a body but I want to give it my personal touch. There's a nice Caddy 190mm TC body but I want to hold out until Proline comes out with the new 190mm Ford GT body. They have a 200mm but I don't think that will fit properly.
Cheers and a Happy New Year to ALL!

[QUOTE=anr211;14790402]You can put grease on top of the body posts and sit the body down where you want it and then use the grease spots it puts on the body, but I'm more of a fan of systems like this
Oooh! I like that! Looks way more accurate.
Thanks

Ok so I've narrowed it down. I don't think I need anything extravagant so I'm looking at motor esc combos. I'm looking at something like Castle Sidewinder 3 motor and esc combo 6900kv or 7,700kv, 2-3S, NEU Castle 1406 ESC..... Or Hobbywing XERUN Justock Zero Spec Sensored Brushless ESC/Motor Combo (10.5T). Couldn't find a higher RPM. What do you guys recommend? I'm also gonna post in FS section looking for a deal on better motor and esc hopefully in same price range.
EDIT: Nevermind, I can't post wanted in there. I need to have 90 posts or been a 90 member for 90days. Bummer I have 52+ on RCG and Helifreak well over 654 on Ebay.

I found a member selling some 48p Associated and Kimbrough spur gears. Do you guys know if these will fit my BD7? Following the suggestion that I should get these over 64p since I'll be on asphalt.
Man this is tough trying to manage my money! Trying to build another FPV racing quad and get the electrics for my BD7. Decisions....decisions. What to buy first. LOL

Do a word search regarding spur gears. I've used serpent and xray spurs.. Leespeed, panaracer also work
As noted before, check petitrc and see what spur range people have used based on their motor turn

I appreciate your suggestion about KV of motors. I'm not worried about breaking something, that's inevitable. I was asking what people experience was of these motors.

The hw just stock is perfect for stock racing but I'd recommend getting any 120a esc that allows boost and turbo, more fun that way and you could then use it in an off road buggy, not truck if you desired.
I wouldn't imagine anyone using a castle in a bd7 but I could be wrong. Most would use a 120a esc for flexibility, maybe a smaller esc if particular about weight
If I Google yokomo bd7 setup it shows me in English of the petitrc site as one of the first results
When I say search enter in Google "rctech item subject" e.g rctech yokomo bd7 spur gear

I have a blue 2013 BD7 and two black 2014 BD7's that have a ton of upgrades. Carbon arms, Ti screws, low friction belts, ti turnbuckles, floating servo mounts, one with alum chassis etc, etc...Plus a BD7 box stuffed full of spares. Is there any value to these cars any more? I bought the cars and used them 3 or 4 times in 17.5 and VTA. Now there are just sitting around doing nothing...
Thank you
Thank you

suspension arm mounta
Recently got a bd7 2016 and currently running 44.2 43.5 front arm mounts, just wondering how running 44.9 44.2 will affect the handling of the car.
Thanks

Is the original BD7 still competitive in either 13.5 or mod class? I heard its better than the 2016 version is it true?
Or should I get a BD8?
Or should I get a BD8?

I've had the BD7 13, 14, 15 & 16.
On Carpet, I found the BD7 2016 the best Car & I'd still say it would still be very Competitive in 13.5 Boosted & Mod Classes!
I have to say, the BD8 is a better allround Car though.
