No you're right a driver like Ronald Volker does, top guys will win with anything, a good club car is what's important for most people and that's where most the sales will come from

I agree on the 2013 car being a very good club race car on our indoor asphalt track, had the most fun in RC in several years with it. Worked well at TITC also.
Was disappointed with the out of the box performance of the 14 and skipped the 15 since it seemed so similar. Have a 16 now and after struggling looking for a good setup am finally happy with it.
Still regret selling my 13 though...

You forgot the 13 car, it's basically gone backwards from then, the 13 car was much loved here in the UK by the Club guys, never had one unfortunately. I have had a 14 and 15 and must say I had much better results with the 14, here in the UK it is a rare sight to see a Yokomo BD7 2016 on track, maybe on a pit table or hiding away in a box, it's actually become a bit of a joke so I really hope they sort the car out for the 17. Tamiya have finally stopped copying them with the 419X so you know it must be bad lol
These are all drivers who've run them on several different types of carpet at different large race series and now larger series on outdoor tracks.

We have found the 2016 to be very good on the new CRC black high grip carpet.

I would personally like to see Manufacturers come out with two versions of their cars like you see in offroad, one for high grip carpet and really high grip asphalt and one for onroad low to med grip. I would say the BD7 has been going more and more towards a high grip car since the 2013 car was released

What would be the difference between the two in touring car?
In Off road you have mid motor, rear motor, bodies, wings ........ and are buying two cars to race.
We have all that except the rear motor part and we only buy one car.

Carbon / aluminium chassis would probably be one of the differences in TC.

Yes, BD-010RW is the latest (and only) version. Most people don't use DCJs in the rear.
