Default alternative Team Checkpoint website

FYI - alternative website created by Great Planes for the Team Checkpoint motors. This is in addition to the official Team Checkpoint website.

I just recently purchased a Team Check Point 9t Double Modified Motor I plan to race 4-cell 1/12th road course with it can anyone tell me how to set it up with IB 3800's batteries

What Brushes should I use

where to set the timing

what springs to use

and for gearing with a 100t 64p spur what pinion should I use I race on a med/sized med/high bite ozite carpet

with 1.88 rear tire and a 1.72 front tire

any help would be greatly appreciated

wether this will help or not is up to you .

I'm pretty heavy on the gas but usually gear my 2X8 @ about 33mm rollout or up if the track is not so tight

I run good gp 3700's so you'll have to make allowence's

i find the std springs and brushes to work for me beter then the 4 cell ones

My experiences tell me , gear low let her scream !

GREAT motor

This was copied from the main Checkpoint thread.

12th scale motor setup:
9x1 or 9x2
copper spring on positive and negative
4 cell Atlas brush
14 degrees of timing

I use the same setup also with 10 and 8 turn motors.

IIC 7x1 motor setup
Silver on positive, gold on negative
6 cell infinity brush with a small cavity in the center
10 degrees of timing
