but you shaved the rear hubs down so u get more lock right?
#6978
no I ment you made them narrower
#6980
on the pics it looks like your c-hubs are narrower than they usually are and because of this allow the car to have more lock before the steering knuckle hit's the c-hub

after taking the wheels off i see what your looking at, the plastic that have been shaved off is the other camber location options, there is one other Mod i have been running on the front, but you can not see it in the current pic, i have moved the pivit poit on universial to be inline with the king pin, by placing the shim used with the alum univerials on to the outside bearing instead of the inside, ( but you have to use the Narrow clamping hexes, other wise the track width is too wide), i have notices not handing changes by doing this, however, i have not bent any alum universials since.....

@ Jason
Don't you have problems with the alloy universals in terms of breaking? saw a few allpy unis break and I'm now using TiR CVDs which last pretty good.

OK, as promised, pictures of Chris's car with the CGM steering modification.
Some quick intructions on how to do this mod:
You will first need the CGM bellcranks, part no SD202G, cut the smaller side off.
Insert the bearings at each end (kit bearings) and screw the ackerman plate to each of them making sure that they face in towards the centre of the car.
Using the standard Yokomo castor blocks and steering spindles you will need to have the balljoint in the 2 hole from the back on the ackerman plate.
Put the completed assembly on the car, place the 0.5mm spacer on top following by another 0.25 spacer and then the blue spacer that normally goes underneath.
Screw the top deck on, job done.
Remember to check toe in.
