Default Cyclone Rear Diff

In Coral Springs, FL. Its me a a friend with a Cyclone, and a lots of Yokomo BD's LCGs, etc. My friend had the same problem with his stock plastic Yok BD rear diff, and when he rebuit it, he CA glued the rings to the outdrives, and has never had diff melt downs again...has anyone heard of this "trick"? Just re-ordered new diff set from stormer hobbies...speedtech has the aluminum ones comming in by the weekend. I just want to make sure they don't melt on me again! I followed the book, and it seems they just start getting loose...and then if you tighten a little more, they fry!!!

I would suggest sticking with the 108 and even adding a small and narrow piece of masking-tape on the bottom in order to keep small stones away from the spur.
Please DON'T use tape there... Tape actually sticks small stones/grit right under the spur where it hurts most. The cut-out there actually releases anything that's made its way there..

And besides - better you take the edges of a few teeth, than to wedge a small stone in there - totally ruining two teeth, and having it ruin your pinion too..

Good luck getting the blades or alot of the other parts. Local shops can't get the blades, aluminum diff or the 1 piece spool and even the US online shops have been out of stock for months. Parts support has been poor so far, reminds me of the Pro4 when it first came out, it took months for some parts to be available.

Steve or Thad, please tell the bosses to get the parts out to the shops!

Thumbs up Cyclone Dog Bones

Hey fellas! My Cyclone's FR and FL dog bones have bent, and its time to replace them. They are the regular Cyclone simple/stock bones(which seem very weak). Will the pro 4 aluminum dog bones work on this car? If not, which dog bones do you recommend that are stronger and have longer life(with part numbers, please)
