Hot Bodies Cyclone
Tech Adept
You can see some pictures on page 1240. Everything except for the suspensions are new. The top deck looks like a 1 piece, but it is actually a 2 piece design. This is what I remembered about the new car:
The bulkheads are narrower, so all other related parts will be new, including the diff, spool, shock towers, driveshafts, chassis etc..
The motor mount is mounted on the center line of the chassis to keep the flex symetrical.
The flex at the front and middle parts of the car is about the same as Cyclone TC, but more flex at the rear end.
You can have the option to use either the Tamiya style steering of the original single post style steering. Also, the steering posts can be mounted at either forward or backward positions.
It is a beautifully designed car.

It's a mash up of the 416 for the steering and a Cyclone... well this prototype dosent look very sexy...
Are you kidding?
There are some major updates :
- the belts have been repositioned
- the pulleys are HUGE
- the topdeck is quite symmetrical
- LiPO support with something we can suppose to be post for some weight bar...
- And the motor mount is not fixed directly to the chassis, there is a central post, to have a more symmetrical tweak
Even this is only a prototype, it could be a very interesting car!

Where the fan is placed on Hara's car.. it looks like it was blowing air onto the motor front the back of the car to the front.. I thought the fan sucking air from the front to the rear would be better as the natural air flow would also help..
Is this what others also do??
I have the same fan.. so unless he has his one going in reverse then thats the way its setup..

If you try to put smoke in your car just before run (Yes, smoke!), you will see that most of the smoke will be there after a couple of laps!
It seems that the airflow under the body is very low finally, so most of pilots prefer to mount fans on "push" and not on "pull"...

i just mounted a fan and was thinking the same if it was worth anything. i just put it there cause it was an extra after my BL ESC, and i wanted to craft around.
i also took into account that even if wind did get under there, there wud be a speed point in which the air is already blowing faster than the fan can pull..maybe its advantage in low speeds during some corners

My TC has a fan mounted behind the motor. Never had an issue and never affected the handling.

I'm looking at the rear part of the rear top deck, in the area where we would cut it in two, and I don't understand what I think I'm seeing. It looks like one half overlaps the other but that can't work unless one side is higher then the other. Confusing .....
Also interesting that he doesn't have any stops to keep the battery out of the belt eventhough there are a couple of unused holes in the chassis ...... but after all he is Hara so no worries ......

It looks like the battery bumps up to possibly some weights (white colour) under the belt
