If I could help port Bob's code to Python and open-source it, it would help to keep Bob's legacy alive.
EDWARD2003, can you help me get in touch with the person who has possession of his RC crew chief source code? |

Python is just what comes to mind when I post. Of course, C++ and Qt can do the job. It is all about time and effort. Anyway, Open source it. I am sure someone with a brain will be able to figure it out and improve it.

Any advice to get it to run, pops up on launch, and clicking continue freezes app |

I have uploaded my working version of rc crew chief at my github account (rcstar6696)
In the readme.md file you can see a short decription how i can start and use it. It will only work if all system requierments and all programms to use it are installed on the computer you unpack it. Sadly there is no list of needed requierments somewhere. Sorry i have not found out how to repack it as an installerpackage but i hope its ok for all like it is. Not sure if its allowed but i link it anyway (remove the /// to open the link) h///ttps://github.com/rcstar6696/RCCrewChief_ReUpload i hope Bob will be happy that we contiune using his amazing work |

Thanks to the links Rcmax and Olivier, I was able to download and unzip vs 4.3.2 and install both 32 and 64 SQL on my Win 11 box, but getting an error when running the exe that "home form database access is not allowed"? Tried compatibility mode with same error.
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...a1010b7ca2.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...86e54f5e5f.png Both SQL 32 and 64 installed as far as I know correctly. Any thoughts? |

Its working! For me to get it to work I had to download SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 for Windows Desktop which can be found at: microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5783&WT.mc_id=DOP-MVP-37580 Note: when you first run the .exe, it will extract the needed installers to your specified location, so make it Documents or Desktop or something, then, install the x86 msi first, and then the x64 msi, after that run RCCrewChief V4.3.exe and check if it works! Great job Rcmax6696! Edit: You can find almost all chassis, motor and esc files at: web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.rccrewchief.wrightdesign.ca/* |
Does anyone have a file for the Schumacher Mi7, Mi8, Mi9 cars they could export and share?
|
I'd be interested, too. Had Mi8 files but lost them in a blue screen recently. Still use the software for my own design to get roll centers and roll stiffness.

Anyway to obtain a copy of the software still?

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W9R...ew?usp=sharing The measurements might not be precise, but they are close and should get you in the right ballpark. |

I measured up my Mi9 and added it to the database. Here's a link to the file:
