I'm still running my Ballistic. At the last race in Omaha I lapped the field in 2 out of 3 mains.

that's cool....I think the other motors are lighter and run cooler, and also more torque but the Novaks have more RPM, and if geared correctly will surprise you.

Myron I think the Noxaks are faster in the first half of the run but fade at the end where as the new motors are constant through the hole run.

I'm still running a Novak Boss. I keep dropping teeth and the laps times keep coming down.

I never got a Ballistic more on my dyno, but the really super fast VTA guys around here (TX) were all using the Ballistic motor not the BOSS. The change in VTA weight forced me to go to something lighter than the BOSS. Now that I have a newer lighter car I could probably put the Novak back in the car, but VTA is, I hate to start a flaming incident again, dead in this state. I just hope that when the ROAR Nats come to Austin this year, that enough out of staters show up for VTA to have another chance to race VTA (I saved all my VTA unique stuff)

Check the timing if ROAR legal. Previous Trackstar motors had very restricted timing. Easily overcome, but then legal?

unless it was just added to the list within the last 45 days or so; no its not approved. Mclain, TSR, Motive, Tekin, Novak being grandfathered.

No evidence that it's approved, or even submitted (maybe someone with ROAR will comment), but the winding resistance appears to be legal. I haven't checked every dimension, but assuming they didn't put an "outlaw" stator in it, it should pass tech if they submit it.

Hobbywing and Trinity 24K are also approved.
