oh yes!
the body is 40 grams heavier that those light protoforms, but i was able to overcome both that -- and a 5th starting spot.

big thanks to Barry Lofton for my tire prep, Mike Larcher for making my car not look like sponge bob, and all of my friends and team mates for heckling me during my bouts of failure.

Ran one in the Figure 8 race, not only did it hold up really well it managed to take out most of the competition

That is true, but when one car pulls 1/2 a straightaway on you, there might be reason to question if that ESC is Blinky (thinking more of the old 21.5 days when the boosted ESCs were just becoming popular).

I did some googling but couldn't find a direct answer. Can I soak vta rims in acetone without destroying them?

Yes you can. If they are chromed, the finish may come off, but the rim will be perfectly usable. I use a small amount of nail polish remover, in a metal container and let the rims sit over night. It works like a champ
