And yes, finger nail polish remover does remove super glue, but it contains toluene, which is a mild paint thinner, which will soften then tire. Cant use it, it alters the tire.

Guess we just tell them you are screwed out of a set of tires, throw them away and go spend more money and try again?

And you two didnt answer my last question in my post.

In case you havent figured it out, Im being an annoying A$$ on purpose to illustrate a point that you cant define every scenario. RobK and Myron will just have to give an official ruling on the sidewall wont they?
If you used the fingernail polish remover to soak your tires in yes it would soften them. Using it to wipe something off your tires is not softening them. Common sense

We do use traction compound yes. But we don't soak our tires in it before we even mount them. It's used 5-6 minutes prior to running. Again, common sense.

You trying to be an "annoying a$$" doesn't bother me at all. This is simply an online discussion. We don't have to agree. I dont get upset because of something I read online. Ultimately each track will/does do what they feel is best for them.

I am aware of this as I run F1 also. As I said if you properly glue the tires from the start the sidewall is already stiff since you are putting glue on the underside of the sidewall to glue them to the rim. F1 tires don't glue up the same as VTA tires so adding glue to the outside of F1 tires will alter the tire.

Gotcha. I don't see a need for it in VTA to be honest. I agree with you though. The tire sidewalls are already pretty stiff. Maybe its the soaking the tires in traction compound that softens the sidewall?

ok i will explain this slowly, yes the way vta tires are mounted they are stiff, but with rubber being on the side wall its grippy, by glue them it still stiffens them and makes them less grippy

Adding glue to the outside sidewalls of the tires is used with EVERY form of RC cars Carpet racing. There are no rules to prevent this or stop this at any ROAR or IFMAR race why is this an issue for some of you VTA guys? This is a fairly common thing done I dont see there being any issue with this what so ever. If you are taking issue with this then there really will never be a set of rules that will make you happy and you are just looking for something to complain about on the internet.
