Hmmmm.. I have an older GoPro(non-HD) from my fullsize car racing days. This is a pretty brilliant idea for studying and improving your driving. I may have to try this out.
The only downside, of course, is looking like an idiot on the drivers stand with a camer strapped to your head

Thanks again for the excellent feedback, guys. I'll get some more video next time I'm at the track and update. 13.5 was so much damn fun, I think I might just run a little mod next time. That video is going to get marked as "private" though.
If you guys want to turn this into a general purpose thread about setup/driving advice based on first person videos of your cars, I think that would be a really great use of the internets.
You'd be surprised how hard it is to drive for 5-6 minutes without smashing into something knowing that people might see the video. It's actually the closest thing I've found to simulating race conditions. I have a lot of trouble with practicing for hero laps, and then getting into a race and driving way more conservative. Perhaps taking videos is a good way to stay honest, and practice like you race.*
*Long ago, I was a music major in college. The thing they always emphasized was to practice like you perform. That is, use a metronome, and play through a song at the right tempo, and play the song from beginning to end instead of only working on riffs and tough sections. I never hear it mentioned, but I think the same could be said for RC.

well........ it looks to me like you are watching waaaaaaay too much tranny porn. your wood keeps geting caught in the steering wheel and causes you to over shoot.
second, you should loose a little weight. your gut is hitting the rail on the drivers stand, pushing you further back on the stand and making it harder for you to see the corners.
finally, your body is the total wrong color. a black or dark gray body will look way faster on the track than a white even if its not. sure, it will be harder to see, but that will just make you focus more and make you a better driver.
hope this helps. love ya buddy!
see you tonight.
