Now that I have my Exotek FGX-EFX chassis on the way I had another question...just a minor thing really...but I noticed on the FGX-EFX the lower chassis extends to just past the front suspension while the FGX and McKune chassis stops the lower chassis plate right below the front suspension...was there a specific purpose to extending it? I'm guessing probably to help brace the nose a bit better...

Hello, i was wonder if you all can help me out. I am trying to help a fellow racer with his F1R. We are running on a High-bite carpet track that is roughly 90x40. For about the first 3 mins of the race, the car is planted very well with fast times around 11.1-11.4 secs. The last 3 mins, the front tires fade out extremly and cause a push thru out entire corner. These lap times would be anywhere between 12.5 - 13.0 secs. Loss of about 1 sec per lap. What would cause this? And what setup advice do you have if not a setup for the chassis.
Here is the setup we are running as of now:
F1R Chassis w/F104 front end
15wt oil in side shock
i think 15 or 20 wt center shock with tamiya white spring(not sure on lb)
Med front springs on king pins
soft rear springs
2.5 caster
roughly 1 degree total of toe out
Pit tires 572 and 574
I am trying to use my car as a comparison to set his up. I am running avg of 10.9 - 11.3 sec laps thru the whole 6 min race on same track.
This is my setup:
F104 X1
Med front springs
Soft center spring
CRC 5000 tube grease on dampner
High-bite t plate
2.5 caster
1 deg total toe
pit tires 571 and 572
Thanks in advance for any help
