Other than carbon bling, does the carbon rear wing support offer anything over getting the Tamiya set 51479 RM01 C parts for the wing mount?
Getting ready for an order from 2 places....

I took the chassis rails off for the asphalt.

As far as the IFS, I couldn't make it work to my liking. It was fast but not comfortable to drive at the limit (nervous and squirrely). I put a conventional front end back on it and the car was fast AND easy to drive at the limit.

Hope that helps.

Hey
Yes. I run the R3 with IFS and also the duel crank steering kit.
It works very well but needs setting up a little different to the "normal" front end.
You can run the rails on asphalt also.
With IFS but no rails I would try gun metal front springs (reasonably hard) and very soft side springs (Black Assoc') with 10K damping oil.

If you want to go with the rails, you can come softer on the front springs.
Set your diff' as light/ soft as it will go. If you oversteer at corner entry, off-power. Then slowly stiffen the diff' a little at a time until the oversteer goes away After that, tune to your liking.

Hope that helps you out.

Regards
BM

I run on a large asphalt track in Florida I don’t race all that much and I don’t push my cars that hard I just enjoy the hobby.the steering set looks nice but is it worth the money to get? And what will it really do for me and the car I am not a pro driver I do ok is all.thanks Jerry

@5th, if you enjoy the hobby you will enjoy installing the steering set, its great, even for bench racing!

I quit the rc-hobby, so my R3 is for sale: Exotek F1R3, IFS, Alu, KoPropo, Mylaps, Hobbywing complete as new

Wow that’s a very nice car sorry to hear that you’re getting out of the hobby.if I didn’t already have a F1r3 I dam sure would get yours that’s a good price you have on it.it should sell quickly best of luck on it. I still got to build my r3 waiting. on more parts I have to do my f1 from the ground up.

Would you sell the stock chassis alone?
