Mike,
New chassis looks great!
Has anyone ever tried putting the battery and esc/receiver next to eachother as in a 1/12th inline setup?
I think it would fit but cant believe anyone hasnt tried it yet, would be wider as the inline F1R2 setup but somewhat less wide as a transverse setup still allowing tamiya bodies.
Ideas why it wouldnt work?? Weight distribution too far back perhaps?

During testing I tried inline battery with added weight on each side of the battery to simulate the weight like what you are talking about. It worked ok on carpet but the car still felt nervous on asphalt. the weight and inline battery actually moved more weight forward from the transverse positioning. The shorty is still pretty far forward with an inline setup

right now my f1r3 is 41/59

Good to know this weight distribution. Thank you for that.

Do we know if there are ETS wings (Front and Rear) that will fit the car?

Regards

It seems to me all wings should fit, the serpent, xray and montech. The body should be the Proline 13 or 14 / xray if I understand the info correct (if lipo mounted side ways).

Are the rear body posts in the same positions as the F1R2? (Tamiya spacing)

Hi! No sorry, no room in the production schedule and not compatible with the preferred IFS set any way.

Hi,
All you will need are the carbon parts but we will release the carbon spares and the alloy bottom plate next week after we get caught up on F1R3 deliveries

Mike. I also requested a talent and skill upgrade to go along with this purchase but could not find it on your website. I am hoping you have these in stock as I am in dire need!??! :-)

Thanks for all the hard work and time you and your team have put into this and other F1 projects. It's very much appreciated by this F1 enthusiast at least!!
I look forward to receiving my new upgrade kit ........

Regards and season wish's to all.

Good choice and thank you much! Aaron will be selling part number EXO2000 Pro Talent Kit early next year I hear

Agreed- pan car style layout still has the weight more forward and not much different than the F1R2 weight balance. Rubber tires still not on par with foam tires

Hi, No, further back and out of the way of the side ways lipo.

Whats the story on the super shorty lipos I see? In transverse they would fit a Tamiya body and you could position them on a very large part of the chassis. Extra weight could be added anywhere.

Yes. I am also interested in the metal chassis! I like the idea for high traction carpet situations where the stiffness and low COG brought by the extra weight will be beneficial.

After shipping all those kits ;-), is it possible to provide us with a starting setup for the f1r3 with IFS on carpet? :-)
