For F103 tires you have to use the F103 arms that you have now. Using F104 tires on the F103 arms will raise the front ride height 'a lot'.

I wouldn't sink too much money converting over to F104 tires and arms if you are still trying to get the class to pick up. The F103 style still looks and runs good

Ok thank you.but the car I have is F104w it came with a 103 front and it has a fixed wing in the rear and that big bumper on the front I wanted it to look more like a F1 car was thinking about the protoform body 14 and pro to form front and rear wings The tires on the car are pits if you don't think the car is worth putting the money into please let me know so I don't waste my time and money was also thinking about getting Exotec adjustable front that you have if you think it will work.and the protoform body 14 or the 13 body don't really know witch body will work or even if the front and rear wing will fit thank you for your time Jerry

I don't think it will be very competitive the way it is that's why I was thinking of making some changes but I really don't know if the car is worth it or not

Are you planning on running at FSEARA or club racing. We are primarily running 25.5 motors. The car with the current setup will work but the problem is finding tires that will work. If you upgrade to the Exotek option for front end you can run readily available tires and be legal for racing?

Hey gang. F1 noob here (though not an RC beginner). I've run my F1R3 with IFS once on a parking lot track and thought it did pretty well. I ran it on carpet for the first time Saturday and ran into an issue. I had an a-arm mounting tab for the front dampers break 3 of the 4 runs I made. I was a little surprised by this as I haven't read about people having this happen in this thread before. And it didn't happen during my first asphalt race. Is this just a known "weak spot" on the front a-arms, or could I have something set up wrong on the front end? Looking at it, it's clear the damper tube is the uptravel limiter for the front suspension, but that is true for all RC suspensions I've seen. But it seems the only way to break that tab is by over-compressing the suspension. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated as the car ran well otherwise. For reference, the front end of the car is set up with MikeR's Tamiya USA setup. Thanks!

Hi, It's possible the carpet track barriers are a bit solid? What may have happened is when you hit a board the steering knuckle is turning too far and hitting the damper end which then hits the damper mount? That could mean the steering/servo end points are too far thus hitting the damper on impact.

I broke 2 or 3 tabs on the arms until realized I had my endpoints set to far. when I turned in a very sharp corner and barely touched a wall the upper tab where shock damper attached would snap off. I even contacted Mike R at exotek and asked if there was a bad batch going around but the problem was a bad mechanic. Note: you can use arms left or right. If you have a broken tab on 1 arm you can use on the opposite side.
