What's the length of the turnbuckles on the EXO adjustable upper links? Can't measure mine right now, but want to purchase some spares.

Hi all.
I have and F104 pro, converted to F104X1.
I want to buy the F1R2 Pro conversion kit... will it work for my car ?
and, most important, will the kit improve my car to become her comparable to modern kits of other manufacturers ?
Or is it better to buy a whole new F1 car ?

I run it on asphalt, rubber tyres.
thanks

Hi All,

Testing of the F1R3 has gone very well. The most recent results are very promising

Looks like we are headed for an early Dec. release.

Race results- A main winner of the UK Champs Autumn Shoot Out - Round 3 - C.A.R.S.

Note this was a prototype and pic 3 is the original F1R2;

Hi Mike! Will this be a kit to convert existing cars to F1R3 specs? Or will it be a conversion kit like the F1R2 was? The reason I ask is that judging from the pictures it looks like new chassis pieces are overlaid onto the old chassis to widen the link mounts to accommodate the transverse battery position along with a wider rear pod brace pieces. Hope I'm making sense.

So from the pictures, you can rotate the shorty battery too to push more weight in the back! very nice!

What wing kit/set were you using Darren?

Looks like Tamiya F60 front and rear. F2012 on the older car.

Assuming this will be a conversion kit and not the whole kit itself, what is needed to convert the f1r2?

Not using the CF ackerman plate on the Xray servo saver?

What is new different on the F1R3 vs the R2? I cant see a difference in pics other than shorty pack perpendicular and new holes on rear shock mount/bulkhead? Im guessing the IFS is separate and R3 includes the adjustable front camber/castor setup?

This will be like the F1R2- basically an F104 conversion. Undecided if we will offer an upgrade pack to swap R2 to R3. Last time we did that to an older kit we sold only a handful.

Correct. Same parts as the F1R2 needed- except now you will need a Protoform F1 body due to chassis width.

Don't think Darren has that piece and looks like a Kimbrough servo saver.

F1R2 wasn't broke and didn't need fixing so added side ways battery option (kind of a big deal ). More evolution than revolution for the R3. Some refinements and little tweaks regarding the chassis.

This was just the base prototype. There are some other interesting unseen elements undergoing testing still

Even though I like the protoform body I have, the Tamiya's are more scale. I hope you reconsider this or at least make the F1R2 available again.

Hey Mike! The new car looks good. I need one. With regards to the body, would the Tamiya body (F60 or MP4-24) fit if the side pods were left as is and not trimmed?
