Bob,
Great work and thanks for bringing back names/places that I had forgotten about. Made me smile.
Bob Rule..........He was a big 1:1 off-road racer too. He hit me so hard in a turn at race in Vienna-Ga, I saw stars and had to finish the race on three wheels.........I've got pics of his Bolink-Plastered race trailer and his car.

Yeah, Win Bob Stormers Junk! It goes something like this:

The host will be Bob's wife, and everybody goes home a winner!!!

Come to think if it, that's a bad idea as it might catch on with all of the wives fighting the hoard in the garage around the country, we could all wind up in deep shit (except for single guys!)

Default LTO PRO

Bob, I have an Bolink LTO PRO for sale that Big Jim Greenmeyer and Tom Bolin set up for me back in 1993 at the Encino velodrome. It was only run that one weekend and it is in excellent condition. You may be interested in this. I can send pics if you like. It still has the Big Jim stock motor in it that I ran.

Is this the same Big Jim who wrote that RC motor black book?

That book was the shit. A few of his tricks and my old Associated T4 easily pulled the wheels with a genuine stock motor and a NiMH pack. That thing was geared 14/87 and STILL held good speed down the back straight!!

I kinda miss the high-rpm sound of brushed motors, now its huge pinions and 70 tooth spurs.

And that just might be the hardest part for me, since I got back into this hobby.

Default Big Jim Greenmeyer

I'm sure Big Jim would have flourished in today's Brushless society just as he did way back them. He taught me a lot about stock motors and "Del Taco!"
His priorities were Racing Eating and Sleeping. In that order! One other note of interest is that Jim was an excellent Rc painter too!

Which is worse: Not qualifying for the A-main but winning the B, or finishing tenth in the A?
