Think the Xti is that much better??? I know it has the "cool factor" of the adjustable rear pod...
I've been running my XL all year and have been very competitive. Many are still very fast with the XI as well. With the transverse kit (which many are using in stock classes) the xti is dimensionally very similar to the XI.

Can the rear pod and lower pod plate fit onto the Xi?

No. The pod is quite different too. I think they've moved the axle farther forward.

If you want the adjustable pod you can always get the team tamale pod.

I am rebuilding the rear shock on my Xi and wanted to know how much rebound should I use on a smooth med-bite carpet track. Do people drill out the shock caps to build a dead shock?

Also, battery in forward or rear position?

I run outdoor asphalt, pretty much stock setting,
Front: camber 1 degree, toe 0.5, 2x pink or magenta tire, traction compound is traction dependence. 5 degree active caster, stock spring, caster all the way back. ride height 4.5

Rear: 7k~10k side oil, white spring, rear center spring, 35~40 center oil, pink tire, full traction compound. ride height 5.0

I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference, most run it flat. I ran mine flat just to get rid of the hardware that comes with running it angled. If you run it flat, I would suggest the links running straight to the outer knuckles and parallel or slightly angled up toward the outside. Hope this helps.
