I just got a CM and was playing with setting the charge parameters, but didn't let it really start charging because I didn't have a battery pack connected to it. After I switched the unit off and later back on again, it lost the charge parameters that I set. Is this normal? Thanks.
Yes. It is normal.
CM save changes on charge mode after start.

Hi Guo, can you tell what good is your profile ?? I want to learn more on using this charger. Thanks !

Would you recommend the MM 12V cooling fan for the battery or the new "clamp type" heat sink? The battery heat sink looks good, but all that metal so close to the battery pack makes me nervous.

I believe heat sink will be a bit better for the cells for charging and fan is good for cells after run or discharge.

I still waiting my new IB cell coming i also find out what charging setting for IB cell. i heard what Danny from SMC he was recomemded of using 6 amp linear charge with 0.03MV and Arun also provide me some step charge mode setup hopefully i can have try these step charge. but one thing is you must becareful of IB cell is sensitivity of temp. Do not let it over heat so the better is set temp cut at 48 celcius is the save way. i will let you know what my result of these charging.

Hara sets only 5 cells because he is using the Team Orion Discharge Board for his GP3700 and when they just go out of the board the voltage is too low when the charger is checking the battery to be sure it is OK before starting charging. By putting 5 cells it will detect it and start immediately without the need to start twice to make the voltage going up.

Hi Ryan...if I want to store the setting by starting to charge w/o the battery hooked up, would it be ok or not recommended...I see the charger says "Battery Low - Continue"?
Thanks,

Thanks,
You can save data that way. no problem.
It was one and half year ago when I composed CM algorithm. But I just tried it now, it saves correctly. it's ok.

Cell master does not need change of cell no. setting for deep discharged battery.
CM will ask " Battery Volt Low Continue? " message if the voltage is extremely low.
