Unless you're counting costs of parts and whatnot for your car, I don't see how you're spending 1k, unless you got a pimp'd hotel all to yourself and having an "escort" delivered.

TRF417 $512

Sign up $85.00
parts $200.00 Thats $872 with out hotel and food so It's a $1000 week end what about the motors I got 4 brand new D3's and new batterys AH the price we pay to play with toy cars. Don't matter to me I've been doing this for over 25 years and I'm still having fun..

Well yes, if you count cars and hardware, you can hit that easy, but I'm just talking about the costs of the actual race, I don't want other racers to think it will cost that much just to attend.

You could count the cost of your Car that you drive to the races in if you wanna get into it. But that has nothing to do with attending this race.

I highly doubt someone attending the nationals does not have a Touring car.

The fact that tires were discounted is awesome, since we are only allowed to buy 3 sets (if no amain) that makes it only $60 in tires for an entire national event! (if you run one class)

Airfare: 292.50
Hotel 300.00 (Thats for a close hotel and splitting it also on the low end guess on taxes Could be a lot less if I drive 50 minutes each way)
Entries 170.00
Tires x 2 classes 120.00
Food for the week 200.00 (High end)
Rental car 300.00

Total: 1382.50

Thats an out of towners typical cost. Im sure there are a few things that might be less than listed but its a very realistic estimate.

Just FWIW

And the question is how is that different from any other National level race? Its not.

Now can we all agree that it costs a couple bucks to go to a National level race and compete. Can we get back on topic now?

What I was sayin is that I was done with on-road untill I heard that Jackson was getting the Nats. And If I said it wrong I was tryin to say look at what we pay to have fun. I tell some peolpe I race RC cars they laugh at me I get the look like grow up already your still playin with toys. Now jerry I don't know who this guy is and I don't know how long he lay off was but I would say you have a very good shot. Only if we tie his right hand behide his back and sit him down on the driver stand.

Actually its a lot more than any other national I have ever been to...but besides its going to be a good race. Some of the things Al, Greg and the gang have in store will make it one not to miss and it WILL be worth while.

What tires yall been running in 12th scale?

Its even if you ask me, the deal on tires is a nice extra, Jackson always does what it can for racers, and solaris helping out is a great thing. ROAR races are always overpriced for what you get, but its not that bad... We will always have a great time.

Ea. we been running foams ones, bsr actually lol.
