Mcsmooth,
please share your a main winning set up for your car, as it looked great at the Hangover dash in Cleveland. as I put my car back together, I would like to mirror your setup down to a "t"... tires, oils, springs, etc...

thanks and good racing yesterday.

Note: by going to 10mm total shims under the front arms (stock 7mm orange spacer plus 3mm additional), you'll need to use longer screws.

Mike, did you glue the sidewalls of the tires, front or back, if so, how much of the sidewall?

thanks Mike I do appreciate it. I will start to rebuild my car over the weekend and maybe get it back on the track soon.

Hey what motors are you guys running? Being new to electric I have no idea what motor to run or what motor will fit. My goal is a motor that I can adjust timing and will give be stupid top end speed. Any suggestions?

P.S. was looking at the LRP Vector X12 4.0T Modified Brushless Motor.

i don't think you will get these cars up to 110mph, not sure though?? but you can put in a 540 sized can, 4.5 turn motor, and put in a esc w/ the availability to put in a lot of timing and boost.

i run a 4.5 turn motor, timed and boosted, in a touring car and the car flies down a straight away. gearing has a lot to do w/ top speed. make sure you put a fan on the esc and motor to keep things cool.

No glue on any of them.

The next changes I'm going to try are no shims under the side links and remove the shims from under the front camber/caster links.

I don't know if I damaged or scratched the kingpins that go thru the pivot balls on the front suspension, but the up and down action is not smooth like in my WGT. what lube/oil do you put on these kingpins. I have tried 20000 cst and 30000cst, but the action is smooth for a minute then it feels like it is catching/snagging.

should I just replace the kingpins and pivot balls?

thanks Mike for the info, I do appreciate it.

You'll more than likely find you have damaged the ball the pins should be fine, unless the pin is lightly bent, you could try reaming the ball with a drill bit and use oil on it and ream by hand I had to do this at the track as the same problem happened with mine WHY I have no idea but after using the drill bit it was fine and is still in the car.
