Thanks, getting an FGX tomorrow sans body. Looks like I need to talk to BP about a body and some decals.

I got my FGX today. Still in box, on kitchen table, waiting for wife to go to bed. The build will commence sometime after that, depends on how quietly she goes. Also, we raced today, just 3 of us, my F109 standard with an FGX and an F104W. Ill have some video later once it uploads. Just about 3 minutes of F104W vs FGX. FGX stays close to F104W, but only to keep it interesting. He could have walked away at any time. Yours truly had already crashed out with a stripped servo saver screw, so I made myself useful and grabbed some "footage" as we say in the business My F109 was good today, If I was more consistant, I could have probably stayed closer to the FGX. But Racer Robert is an F1 demon, and Im sure he would have found another gear in his FGX and just added laps. Its really not fair, no matter what car, but man it so fun running the F1s. I have 3 now, and I admit, a problem.

I know the feeling. Most of my RC homework takes place when the wife is either away or asleep, or just busy with other things.

Default what am I missing?

I'm attempting to set-up a speed passion citrix with a 21.5V2.

I've changed the spur gear to a 35T and I'm attempting to attached a 34T pinion, but for the life of me the pinion simply doesn';t have enough room....I'd be lucky to get a 20T on. That, and the fact the motor hit's the post at the end so no room for movement.

how are people getting motor and pinion to fit to give a half decent rollout/fdr.

Your going to have to shave off a portion of the upper deck near the rear left post... Just dremel off from the bottom but not too much so you can still attach from the upper screw into the post... this will allow you more movement with the motor...

that White n Blue (BMW Sauber?) has so much more drive off the corners than the Ferrari.. Is that the FGX or the F104W?

Reminds me of the famous Gilles Villeneuve battle, but obviously not as cool.

When I was building the front steering knuckles, and was tightening the set screw for the king pin, I wondered why they thought they needed an e-clip in the center of the pin. Yesterday, on it's first couple of laps at the track, I tapped a board, and wondered "Why in the hell did they think they needed an e-clip in the middle of the king pin."

I believe so. And yea the fgx seemed to have much more steering and able to hit the power earlier. It looked like on rails, the 104w on the other hand was all over the place.
