Gotta hand it to Losi...
Last year they broadsided everybody releasing the Mini-T. So this Christmas, when everyone is building a better Mini (and that Associated one looks nice), they come back with a hella innovative design just in time for indoor electric season. With all the Mini-T's they sold, they should be able to produce the c/f version with little or no problem. Bravo, and I want one...
Although I will admit I'd miss the single belt drive.

I like the look of the vehicle so far, I wonder how much better this will be than say the Ofna OB4 Mid motor design other than the better weight balance of the batteries being down the center of the car ( the ofna had saddle packs ). Anyone had driving experiences with the ofna? may give insights on how this will perform.

Wow. That must be a real early XXX-S prototype. The motors in the back, offset more towards the outside of the car, spur gear on opposite side of belt.....anyways. I'll miss my XXXSG+ too.
Anymore JRXS sightings out there in Cali., MD, U.K.?? LOL

I’m in the opposing camp. I definitely prefer the standard mounting method to that of the xxx-s. The xxx-s uses the rotating cam because of the fully enclosed drive train. Otherwise, I’m sure it would use standard motor mounting/adjustment.

I'm not a big fan of the adjustment cam on the XXX-S. It makes it difficult to fit a larger pinion when racing stock class. The bigger the pinion the more the motor would raise itself because of the rotating cam. Bringing the center of gravity up. It also was not very effective at pulling heat away from the motor. The new JRXS looks like it will keep the motor very low and cool. The motor adjustment is horizontal and attached to the aluminum mid. chassis brace. Which will keep it much cooler and lower no matter what pinion you use. I'd rather take the extra minute to adjust the pinion/spur mesh and keep the weight of the motor xtra low.

I think this car is cool, but won't be getting one for a while

The fact that it will be a stick pack vs. a saddle will be a lot better. The OB4/Streetweapon/RCLab/Schum. Axis type layout concentrates too much wieght at the rear of the car.

Hmmmm......I think I see the possiblity of a 1/10th gas car layout. Steering servo, .12 engine, fuel tank behind motor, & reciever pack at the end of tank near rear diff. Throttle servo on gear side and reciever pack on opposite side. will have to have a custom pipe similar to the NTC3.
Can you see a .12 engine head sticking out the hood/windsheid? Ultimate cooling.....

With the exception of two belt not one belt and the motor up the back as oppose to the middle/front, this car reminds me of the kyosho kx-one. similar idea but executed differently, in fact jrxs is almost like merging kx-one and pro3 together. haha, just me thoughts
