Jimmy,

No new email address...just our spam blocker is a little over-anxious... if you've got an account like hotmail or gmail or something like that it probably won't let your mail through.

I suggest trying another account... if you don't have anything just PM it to me and i can forward it to charlie from here.

Hey Steve,

What performance benefits would I expect in 1.12th mod by running the DSM GTB4 over a LRP Sphere Comp that isn't necessarily designed for DSM?

I appologize if you have already covered this in this monsterous thread.

I am trying to figure out what to buy for the season.

Thx,

Hey Aaron,

We have found that the DSM GTB ESCs run cooler than their non-dsm counterparts... people have reported that they seem a little bit smoother feeling as well, which could be a good thing for you 1/12 car!

Steve, the refurbed GTB's, are they being equipped with Lipo cutoff? I just got mine and it has an addendum sheet that says it is and I want to ensure that this is factual. Thanks.

Some of the refurbished ESCs have lipo cut off, others do not.

If it does have lipo cut off the header tag should say so and there should be an addendum in the packaging.

If it does NOT have lipo cut off the header tag should just say "GTB" and there should not be an addendum in the packaging... there is always a chance that a lipo addendum got slipped into a non-lipo gtb but it is not supposed to happen that way.

That reads good, but where the heck or what the heck is "a header tag"? When I hear header, I look along the top of something, so what should I look on top of?

It just has GTB Speed Control. The "R" number is R007125, does that mean anything? Is this something that can be researched?

We have rmg GTBs that are used for exchanges, when customers return items for service. Those GTBs can be the "original" ones, the new one with lipo cut-off, the GTB SS version or the two 4-cell versions.

However, the rmf GTBs sold on Shopatron are all the original versions without the lipo cut-off:

Note: This RMF GTB Racing Brushless ESC does not include the built-in Li-Po circuitry as the Newer version that is currently availalble. To use 2S Li-Po batteries with this ESC, use Novak #5470 Smart-Stop 2-Cell Li-Po Module.

Novak Electronics RMF GTB Racing Brushless/Brush ESC (original version)

I remember seeing your order on SAT....
