There is a lot a slop in my steering link to the steering rack. Is there anything, or way I can tighten it up?

TC4 newbie here with a question. I'm trying to put my diffs together with the steel outdrives but I can't get the screw/ washers/ and diff balls into the outdrive. I've been trying and trying but they won't go. Any ideas?
Am I doing something wrong? Please help. Thanks in advance

Kinda vague on the issue however here is what I had to do. I had to use the screw and T-nut from the RC10GT and the diff rings from the NTC3 to get the steel outdrives to work. I think that might be your issue.

I was wondering if that could be the problem. The screw diameter is too big?

You will need 6579 diff rings and a 6575 diff bolt which comes with the proper nut.

Its been a long time since I did this but from what I can remember the kit diff rings used with the plastic outdrives didnt fit the steel out drives then the nut from the plastic outdrives actually seats in the plastic outdrive where the steel outdrives require the T-nut and I think your are right the T-Nut uses a different diameter screw.......from what I can recall.

It gave me fits when I first attempted this and luckily I had a RC10Gt and NTC3 at the time and had parts I would do a little trial and error with.

Cool, I've got the correct diff rings, I'll just need the diff bolt than.
Thanks for your help guys. I'm turning it into a dirt oval car. Just have to get it all together and paint up my Mccallister body and she'll be golden.
Thanks again.

also with the steel outdrives the spring now goes under the nut, not under the thrust bearing.

all you need is 6579 and 6575

I've ran this setup with a silver can, it should provide a good starting point. I'm still learning the different stuff of the setup sheet, there areas where I've left blank should be the manual setup.
