That ram air setup looks cool... I would add it to my car...

Today TC4 in my hand
Hoho , just a local racer building it.
The CVD is super thick. (for NTC3 too?)
Arm mount is strong.
Streeing angle is eoungh and balance.
The shock tower seems not strong eoungh.
The material .......it is not plastic only , seems mixed some graphite.....because the colour not so black.
Anyway , it really look like TC3 but everythings fits.

Ram Air
I really doubt if this Ram Air thing really works, i mean R/C cars don't travel fast enough to make them work. In airplanes, Ram Jet engines with 'similar' ideas requires supersonic speed to make them work, so i doubt it will work on R/C cars, unless it's rocket engined

Re: Re:
Hi,
That means Team Associated knows that the car is supersonic fast

I think the point of the intake duct is more to ensure that the cooling air is coming from the cool outside rather than just blowing air around inside the car. I don't think it can really hope to create RAM air effects or anything else, its just for ducting the correct air to the fans.
If the fans were placed without the duct it would purely blow air from inside the shell around and not offer much in the way of effective cooling. The presure difference between the outside and inside would be so small it wouldn't pull air from the chassis holes without the duct.
Hope that makes sense
Andy

Haha, it's gonna set a new land speed record wif a R/C car

Andy: that makes perfect sense to me, i guess the whole RAM air thing is just a bit of marketing ploy

I thought the RAM air principle was some speculation from fans not Associated's own words. On their website they say "forced air-duct system" and I think that purely refers to forcing air into the car with the fans.
I think the colling RAM air theory was brought up by some eager fans on here

Does it have a nice & free drivetrain? & are the steering block tighter & stronger?
#254
I don't remember if this was asked before, but can I use TC3 caster blocks on the TC4? Just wondering since I don't know how long it would be before the TC4 blocks are released after the release of the TC4 kit.
