I always forget Tamiya. If I remember for the the EVO7 thread. “Looks” was a good description. Very heavy compared to the other touring cars.

Does anyone have a quick answer for what shock upgrades are easy bolt ons to this? I'm assuming the TC7 and Yokomo SLF long shocks would be a direct fit?

I have TC7 shocks on my Kaizen TC4 - upper shock bushings were the only thing needed to get them to fit properly.

Mine is just a club racer that from what I can tell is stock. I've done a lot of reading on here about recommended upgrades but nothing really conclusive. I'm on the fence on racing but definitely want some durability recommendations. Seems all I need to do is the front DCV upgrades using the TC7 bones, and shocks. Am I missing anything else absolutely critical? I'm only running a 25.5 in it so nothing wild

Shaving chassis for lipo battery fitment and gearing clearance (AE has them for $5 right now haha)
Shocks
Either aluminum bones or entire front TC7 upgrade (there's a post up a ways back that I posted all part #s for it)
Front spool (but I think the Club Racer came with that)
Larger front bumper foam

That's everything I would recommend to make the TC4 a nice little touring car. It's a pretty squirrely car so make sure it has a nice alignment and that the front toe and overall droop is set properly otherwise it'll jump around at throttle punch. I learned a lot while setting mine up, makes anything else a total breeze haha

With the TC4 long since discontinued, and with Associated totally out of the on-road racing scene, one would think that these chassis kits would be at even better blow-out prices. This cost is almost what the entire TC4 cost to start with.

I’d love to. But I can’t run on road enuff to justify it. Unfortunately I’ve had to move to carpet off road.

Ive been thinking about this kit for awhile, already have a club racer that I would like to modernize for vta or whatever is popular here in PNW... Wonder if there are any tuning sheets for it? Would it be a vast improvement over the stock chassis?

I suppose this conv kit is also suitable for the FT TC3 as well?

I converted my TC3 but I had to get custom holes drilled for the sliding steering rack. Without that you'd have to get the TC4 steering rack. I think I also needed to get the TC4 bumper and lower arm mounts. It's not a direct fit for a TC3.

I got lucky, someone sold me the Losi LCDs a few months back.

There's a few conversion options in this thread to use parts from other cars, such as the TC7.
