John - I've started re-wiring mine the way you have your, except both wires will go through where your motor + wires goes through. I'll finish it up tomorrow night or the night after and post a pic. It will look alot cleaner and will be easier to change batteries.

Thanks.

Micro_Racer - If you can wheel it to victory.

JohnB - Here's a pic. There is no binding of the pod and it will be much easier to drop the batteries in and out.

No problem. I was just kidding. No carpet in the summer? That's not good! How about pavement racing? Sounds like Jason is having fun with that.

take care

Default bad end to a good looking day

So we had lots of Rain on Saturday, I thought I wasn’t going to be able to race on Sunday. When I woke up on Sunday the sun was peeking through the clouds, I thought this was the day I would at last get the car onto the track.

Got to the track an 2 hours early and was able to run 1 practice pack, the car was a bit twitchy, so I dialed it down on my radio (I thought it was just me not being use to the 1/12 size and speed, there was a lot more steering than what I am used to). After dialing it down a bit it felt a lot better. Then as I was about to go onto the track with my second pack the rain came back.

I stuck around until about 11 but there was no end in sight so we called it a day without racing. Its still raining as I write this

The most frustrating is that this is now the 5th Sunday that we have been rained out. At the moment we only have 1 or 2 good days per week and they are during the week

SA_Racer...
Sorry to here you didn't get to run.. again! At least you got 1 pack in!! The car can be twitchy, but with a t-bar change, or front suspension change it will mellow out some, but still carry the corner speed. Let me know when you go again and I can help with some possible changes to get it to suit your driving style.

Well I have practiced a few times with the 1/12th and it drives like a dream. 1/12th scale racing has dropped off for the summer and no one runs it outdoors around here.

I am trying to get some guys together to start the class back up.

Well, at least i will be running the 12th in Vegas in september. 19T touring and stock 12th.

The TC scene has been pretty good around here though. At least it's keeping me busy.

I'll post some pick of the completed pepto pink 1/12th scale soon. I have to find a camera. Someone borrowed mine and won't give it back.

Default Quick question

What servo's are you guys using?I tried my Futaba s3002 and it wasn't wide enough.I also have a couple of Hitec 225's in my other cars.I'd like to use the holes with mounts,as I'm not a fan of shoo goo.Thanks,Mario.
