I agree with John... The plastics pieces vary so much it's almost impossible to have a CF piece run across and support the a-arms and not tweek the chassis. If you want to run something across there... Try going to a tube like they had a few kits ago. Then play with shims to get the proper width across.

Hey Mr. TQ,

What did you roll out your rocket at the Grand Finale? Also-was it a Monster or a ROAR stock?

Thanks DUDE,
Ray

Btw-the front kingpins are super smoooth. I will install the shock piston before I hit the track again too.

Hey Ray,
I ran a roar stock, I was way up there!! I was 1.89!!!!! I think it was a bit tall... but with 3700's what the hell!!! I came back my 4th qualifier with 13 seconds left!!! I thought Dave Morrow was faster, he had a revenge motor at the same roll out or a bit taller. The motors dynoed very close. I believe he ran 3300's.

Wow!! I'll try that rollout next time at the track. Thats WAY higher than I thought it would be. I was thnking of rolliong to the moon for my IB3600's. ONe-they have the capacity and two that rollout would really keep the batts hot!!

If you look real close at this picture you'll see about three washers behind the upper block. At one time I trimmed the block and the brace at the very back. That was best I had using the brace. It would be fine as long as I didn't hit a pipe, then it would hold a small tweak in the front. But I gotta hit a pipe once in awhile to test the strength of the car .

I ordered a BMI conversion a couple of weeks ago and will be receiving it as soon as the finish cutting some top motor pod plates. My question to all of you 1/12th BMI racers is... Will the new 3600, 3700 and 3800 cells fit in the recesses in the chassis?

I had hoped to get a red kit but those were only available to a certain team driver. I did order the titanium color. Don't know what it looks like so does anyone have any pictures of that color?

Crashby...
You are the first to get the titanium color to my knowledge!!! That color just came in. There may be a pic. of a titanium TC chassis on the BMI website, but I'm not 100% sure. I have used the 3300's, 3600's, and 3700's and had no problems. The diameter of the 3700's are .905" and the chassis was designed for .900". You'll have no nesting problems.
