Setups........ need the drivers to fax them in still.

Diff Pulleys..... i'll ask Rob this afternoon.

PRS Gears...... I lined up the Corally VS. PRS and they looked identical. I don't see why they wouldn't fit.

Which version of the PRS gears?

They have 3 different models...

I hope the oval or Touring ones work...they look cooler LOL!

Blake-the oval ones will work because the Corally bolt pattern is the outer diff ball holes like on a big ring pan car diff.

hey mike dobbs.. it was nice chatting with ya for while at the birds.. you were sitting there schooling my boy jeff on high bite setups..we were both running the PRO4z..
i did like the fact that you were running your RDX pretty much stock. i was thinking about not buying the thicker chassis since im not going to the NATS and our track does not usually have tons of bite like bigger races.

BTW yeah she is a keeper!!

I'm really looking at the RDX now, but I'm wondering what's the best version of the kit to get? The US, UK or Carpet Spec? Is the carpet spec worth the extra money? As far as I know I will mostly be running on carpet so I've been leaning towards this one. Also, when I do order one, what are the most common parts I should stock up on? Thanks!

Basically-the UK kit has 4 degree c-hubs and a diff. The US version has a one-way and 2-degree c-hubs and the Carpet spec will have diff, thick chassis, 4 deg c-hubs and I do believe the hard arms and aluminum steering knuckles. SO its well worth nay extra money just for the added bits it comes with.

regardless of what model you choose-buy the aluminum steering knuckles and one package of spare 3x6 bearings for the c-hubs. One extra package of the kingpin screw and ballscrew. 75% hard arms (one package-791094).

If you buy the US kit-you'll need the diff kit (79174), 10x15 bearings (2), and diff support rings (79199). I also recommend the silver spring kit for the shocks (79231) and one package of the narrow wheel hexes for the back (79141) to make the car 190mm wide in back.

On th b-list of things to buy are another 2-sets of 28mm turnbuckles (79271) as one length of turnbuckle on this car will NOT hit all four available inner hingepin locations and the more aggressive ackerman steering positions, diff rebuild kit ((79161), 1.3mm shock pistons (79224), rear body post plate (79407).

Thats it.

Wow,

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like the carpet spec is the one to get. Is there any place that has the carpet spec model in stock? The only place I've even been able to find that sells the RDX is stormerhobbies.com. Thanks again!

That sucks, At least you can focus on the important things, like racing and set-up.
