Harsh, Jeff, shushi Brian and company . . . what diameter turning radius you end up with when running foam on carpet? With what ever radius you use to race is there "room" to turn up your epa's or DR to get the wheels to turn further or are you running at max? just curious
I have my endpoint set so the wheels are just shy of locking... or hitting the shocks. I never change it.... I never use expo.... I just leave it. I'm kinda of weird... I never use the entire wheel. I only use about 1/4-1/2 of the wheel. I really like my cars to be really aggressive since I generally have fairly smooth inputs.

Hi I am trying to help out a fellow racer with his RDX and would like to ask you guys what the WT of the shock oil that came with the kit is? I think it says medium on the bottle. Another thing he is wondering is how the droop should be measured (numbers in the 6mm range or according to the instructions). In fact what he really needs is a good starting setup for low grip tarmac/asphalt using rubber tires, so if anyone could help that would be great.

Regards,
Emil

The stock shock oil is very thin... way to thin for most things. Start with associated 40wt for asphalt racing. Check out Jeff browns latest setup on the corally USA site. It works great for a starting point for most asphalt conditions.

Thanks for the input./ I think I am like you in that I want to have more sttering than I need available and then only use what I need. Are you using one of the generally accepted setups from corally's site for foam/carpet? Sorry about the mispelling also.

At a $1.00 a bearing I just replace them. Not worth my time to clean them.

Default Ride Height

I have just finished building my RDX and I noticed that I can't seem to get anything under 6mm ride height in the front of the chassis. I have the lowered shock tower in the front and even with some old short tires the ride height seems too high. Any tips?

You need to cut your shock shafts and eyelets with the lowered shock towers.

How much do you cut off of each shaft and eyelet?

I'm not sure, I never ran the lowered towers ...it's somewhere on this thread if you want to look for it, or maybe someone that has done it will post on here. I do know that even with the standard towers, depending on your roll centers, sometimes I had ride height issues ...using associated, shukacher or tamiya 1mm down shock perches got the ride height "back on par" ...but I think with the lowered shock tower, even with that you gotta cut'm.
