anything can cause these cars to be loose, what are you using for difflube when you build ur diffs and how much are you using?
I'm using the one that came with the kit and I put some on each plate on both sides, also on the diff balls. Quite a bit but not too, just enough to cover them up.

your diffs prolly feel alittle slow and sluggish then, they will break in nice and should come around after about a full race day, i only put lube on my diff rings, cause i find even that can be too much sometimes

Oh ok thanks, another thing is when I turn sharply I hear a weird noise coming from my diffs, I think its the belts riding up on the pulley walls? not sure though.

that is probably your front cvd's making the noise, did you make sure they were able to move in full rotation before you put them on the car?

Yea they did rotate all the way before I put them on. It sounds like it's the belt that's why I thought they were probably riding up but not sure, I'll check my CVD's to make sure they are ok.

Ive got a bit of a problem with my RDX and its Pisssing me off

I have a striped spur gear and i need to change it....the only problem is that the screw that holds the assembly is rounded off and you cannot get no grip what so ever. I need to get this sorted soon, has any one got any ideas on how i can get my spur out and get this stupid rounded screw out.

P.S what spur gears will fit the RDX without buying/doing and mods

Ta,

Wills
Heat the screw wil your soldering iron, this will allow the plastic to melt around the screw and take the pressure off of it. This also helps loosen loctite if any was on. Best of luck to you.

Try some anti-squat next chance you get or stiffer spring in rear. Also, try different ackermann positions. I generally run the outside hole on rack and steering knuckle.

I would try going to 6 deg of caster, tightening up your front droop screws a touch. You could also try running std roll blocks in the rear and low rolls up front.

You can also just take out some rear toe in. I run 1-1.5 deg almost all the time on foam.

Further to the problem of diffs. loosening off..........

I've been sitting here thinking never had that happen - hah.
Last couple of race days my rear diff comes loose!! On close inspection I think that the plasticky lock nut is not seated fully in the outdrive, so while running if it moves a smidgin and hey presto loose diff. Something to check.

Cheers
Peter
