Jeff, I already have 6* caster blocks if I dremel my blocks at 45* and redrill the hole at 90* will that give more onpower steering . Also I hear you tried 1 way bearings in the rear,what was your thought there.

I hope to meet you at the indoor nats

Jeff, When you run foams do you apply tire bite in direction of tire rotation or reverse,and how do you wipe.

I see your the stock King so what do you suggest for stock roll out for a med size track.

Good luck with your new car,I know your gona wheel it to the front.

Is it true on race day you never chew gum

Default CDX carpet setup

hi Jon
Here in the UK, I am running on carpet using schumacher carpet dragons rubber tyres. On front 24lb springs, 60wt oil, 4deg caster, 0 kickup, diff and not a one-way. at the rear, 17lb spring, 30wt oil, 2deg toe-in.

I get plenty of steering into corners, so am considering a solid axle in the front, and then going softer on springs and oil on the front.

this might be soemthing to try for carpet:
front;
shocks layed down on the tower, outside hole on the arm
70 weight, 33.5 pound spring
short camber links
optional low roll center blocks all the way around
ackerman, outside on the block and outside on the bell crank
75 percent arms
diff up front
Parma Cyan tires at 2.24
ride height 4.5 MM
shock tower lowered .130
rear;
shocks one hole from all the way outside on the tower
outside on the arm
30 pound spring with 50 weight and stock piston
1.3 mm sway bar
optional low roll center blocks all the way around
1 degree rear toe
camber link one hole in from the outside in the lower row on the tower and same on the hub
parma magenta 2.24 tires

wheel base is short
carpet is med. bite with nifetech traction compound
this set up works awesome in stock and 19 turn
and in 64 pitch a 104 is the biggest spur that fits while running a rear bar.
hope this helps anyonw for a carpet setup with foam tires
oh yeah parma alfa body
thanks
