Yes. Yoh just need a good soldering iron and some skill. I regularly cut the wires to the exact length I need for esc, on-off switch, and servo. I then resolder them to the circut board.

Unsolder the wire from the circut board, tin a new 14gauge wire and solder back to the circut board. easy peasy

just don't apply too much heat...and make sure you pay attention to where you put the wire back (especially the power wires) and make sure the you re-connect the power cap too..

should take you about 5 mins to do

Hi guys,

I have the Turnigy TrackStar SCT 4.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 4550KV (550 size) comming my way.
Is the Novak gtb2 a good enough esc for this motor?

depending on what you're running it in, (SCT, i'm guessing), you're right on the borderline of the speedo's limit

according to the specs, a 3.5 is the limit for the speedo with a 540-can motor...if you're running a 550-can (which I think most SCT motors are, I could be wrong), then you're right at the speedos motor limit - and I wouldn't recommend it

even with other speedos (like the tekin, which I've run for years), the chassis the motor/speedo is going in also plays into the motor limit - which a lot of time, the manufacturer doesn't include

so I'd see if its possible to get a different motor, or maybe look at another speedo

but that's me

Thnx for this aswer, yesterday i orderd the hobbywing xerun 120A sct speedo so the Novak combo stays for backup...

I have used the GTB2 already for 2 years now with a Novak ballistic 4.5 and now i feel its time to let them rest and get on with something new.
