Our GTB2s are brushless only; you cannot run brush motors with them. We removed the brush option from most of our controllers.

Default GTB2 Xdrive

I'm very interested in the new release GTB2 W Xdrive, teamed with my Ballistic 25.5. I'm hoping it's the hot ticket for VTA & 17.5 non boost. Novak2, do you have any driver reviews of Xdrive where we can read? Chris

Hi Chris, we just announced our GTB2-X controllers so our distributors do not yet have them in stock. I am not aware of any reviews.

I got a hold of a driver in my area that may of just become one of your offroad guy, Dustin Thompson and he's running the Xdrive havok. He kept saying there was no comparison, and get a Havok, I wouldn't be disappointed. Chris

Our standard GTB2s are not obsolete; the GTB2-X escs are new controllers (hardware plus firmware) with new part numbers and a slightly higher price.

Just curious, is it possible to order a replacement case for the GTB2? Was on the website and did not see one listed. Thanks in advance!

Over the years, we have sold versions of our GTB escs in different cases; we do not sell the cases.

However, you can contact [email protected] and describe the version (serial number) of your controller and we may be able to send you one---if we still have that version tub.

We have discontinued our GTB2s from distribution and replaced them with two GTB2-X esc versions:

GTB 2 Racing ESC with X-Drive
Product #1749

GTB 2 Racing ESC with X-Drive - Low Profile HS
Product #1748

In addition to the X-Drive, these two part number controllers (only!) include the firmware change for the Tekin and RevTech, sensored 4-pole motors. Details of our findings are in this thread.

Default GTB2X vs RSpro

I put the Xdrive in yesterday, the track was getting slick as the day went on. I wasn't happy with my RSpro,it's throttle lag was killing me and everything I did to change it wasn't helping. I put the GTB2X in and was very nice. The throttle was very precise, made me look like a better driver then I am. The esc has no lag from when you apply throttle to when the car responds. I'm also impressed with the smooth power of the ballistic motor. Maybe I should try the ballistic against the rspro also, before I poopoo the esc? Guess I could have a sensor board going out in the tekin redline.
