I did not try the 40 or 70. I'm pretty happy with the 600k the way it feels and turns so I don't think ill go that thicker and get the understeer again. Like I mentioned before I'm gonna put a small amount of 1m mixed with the 600k in it.

Do you guys use gear diff with putty/ heavy oil in high traction tracks? Like carpet?

Also, how much shock rebound would I want for low-medium traction carpet track?

You should try ride 45 putty. It will give you more exit corner speed vs 600k diff oil. Don't mix oils together it will be inconsistent and you wont be able to build an identical one if you need to, say if a gear in your current one breaks etc...

Honestly I was going to go straight to ride 45, but then some one at the track told me he pretty much had to Buy a whole new gear diff when he was going to try some else so that's why I stayed away. Craig said it was easy to remove so I don't know. If I sell some stuff I have laying around ill buy a new diff and try it out.

Just rebuilt my 417. Resealed the Raceberry chassis, shock towers, and replaced the plastics.

Normal TRF shock worked way better with 450 oil, 3 holes.
What do you think about Tamiya VG oils vs silicion oil?

Mr.Juarez - did you try ride putty? I have 40 and 70. What do you think would be similar in oil?

SS LS1 - thanks. I will try silicion oil as well. drilling - still considering to try or not :-). I have found a link in petitrc - trf 416 setings, which says to drill a hole in regular damper, but in the pro video he doesnt say anything. however in the link he suggest to have some rebound in carpet (5mm).....

thanks
I think most of the time undrilled is best, and regular shocks are best. Sometimes drilled cap or aeration shocks can be maybe 0.1-0.2 faster but I think there are easier ways to find time

I haven't run on carpet much but I think rebound can help when the grip comes up during an event

on low grip carpet the aeration shocks work wonders on my 417 (I made them as dead shocks, without drilling the caps, I have loads of grip. Infact I leave them on now when running high grip carpet I just dial out some steering. I have the standard ones I fit if the track is really high grip as otherwise I can grip roll. (This is 13.5 or 17.5) I dont run mod

I have silicone leaking rear differential, I changed the-rings with new ones and still going well, you've missed even fat so that does not leave a silicone but still the problem
What do you suggest I use?
forgive me for my English

My diffs are leak free. You dont need the steel gear, plastic ones are fine as well.

So I want to switch to using the separate suspension blocks on my 417 but I don't see either on the Tamiya site or the TQ racing site any references to what the toe angle differences are between say the 1A-1XA and the 1B-1XB? Does anyone have a link to a chart or a page that gives these angles? Also the one piece block the car came with is 1C so I'm assuming if I wanted the same toe angle I would buy the 1C-1XC separate mounts?

If I wanted to switch to an aluminum servo horn which is the best to use on the 417? I have a Savox SC-1258TG servo installed.

Thx, Jeff
