Stride how come you have a gear diff in the front and what looks like a spool in the rear?

Was it a drift car before?

Just checking, but does anyone need a type II gear diff and a front spool? I dyed the plastics black, but other than that they are new and unused (I was toying with the possibility of using them in the Xray T4 for alternate ratios before the xray gear diff came out.)

Gear diff has putty in it up front just like a spool but has a little give. Ball diff in rear currently rebuilding gear diff .

Whats the model number for the damper set to swap out my aeration shocks? I want to try them out to give me some more tuning options. Thanks!

I heard there was two different sets and one is better than the other or coated differently or something.

Yes, get the HL dampers, they are gold in colour. The best option is the works set #84317 which includes X-rings and alu retainers

Aren't the 84317's hard coated black instead of the gold color? Does the gold coating really make a big difference at all of no?

I believe they come with the HL cylinders which are the gold ones

I don't think the coating makes a huge difference, I think the piston fit is just a little better/smoother compared to the black ones. Whether or not you can feel it on the track is another question

Random question but are Tamiya 417 body mounting positions the same as Yokomo BD5/BD7? Just wondering if I can use my exisiting bodies on the 417 or do I need to get new bodies or ream new holes.

Will the center mount servo holder from the V5 fit onto the #42200 kit?

You either need the V5 chassis for a direct fit or you can drill a couple more holes. I have a CSO center mount if you want. Just give me your address and I'll throw it in the mail. No charge.
