What options for SWB body are there?
I'm current using the Renault Alpine but fancy something else.

Thanks

You actually have a greater option on short wheelbase. You can run the HPi cup racer Porsche 911 rsr, Lancia Stratos and all the bodies from abc hobby..

I think the Carson Trabant should also fit :)

For competitions the Silvia S15 might be the best choice.
If you have to use tamiya bodies in your local TCS...

I am currently building a M06, I know what speedie and motor I will be running.

What do you people recommend servo wise?

I was going to install a savox 1251, that's what I run in my m05 but the m06 isa new beast.

Raman 08-04-2013 06:08 AM

If you plan on installing ESC and receiver on left hand, then I'd install a standard height servo. I'm presently running a Futaba low profile and I ended up adding weight right side to balance out the chassis.

I don't know savox servos by numbers, basically any high resolution digital servo will suffice.

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of getting a Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934 body for my M-06.

I was wondering if the Tamtech-body would fit? I haven't found anything about the dimensions of that chassis....

There's also a Type 934 on a special TA-05 chassis with a WB of 230mm, but I think its width doesn't match... :(

I know there's a HPI Porsche body, but that's not the one I'm searching for :)

Anybody any ideas?

Raman 08-20-2013 05:42 AM

I think the Tamtech is too small. Check the HPI cup racer thread, I think one person was able to fit it to the cupracer.

The TA05, wheelbase of 230 is close to M06, M is 225 and L is 239. Problem is the body is wide, 190 mm width, the M06 is too narrow.

Thought so.... damn it :(

Well, let's hope Tamiya does some new bodies for the M-Cars then and that the Porsche Turbo RSR type 934 is one of them... :)

Here is the Cup Racer thread

I think he ended up using the whale tale on the RSR body

Hasi 08-22-2013 12:03 AM

Thanks, looks nice.

But in my opinion using the whale tale doens't make a Type 934...
This may be a bit close-minded, but yeah... :)

I guess I'll just have to wait an hope.

rccartips 08-26-2013 04:16 AM

Hi guys,

I've only run medium wheelbase. Any comments on the Long and Short?

Will be testing the short soon.

Thanks.

Joel

My setup on my M-06 Pro, high grip carpet track:

Toe-in Front: kit standard
Toe-in Rear: kit standard
Camber Front: kit standard
Camber Rear: kit standard
Damper position Rear: inner position, kit damper stay

Dampers: TRF M-Chassis Works Edition
Front: Yellow springs
Rear: Red springs
Oil: 300 wt(? I always get confused about wt/cst)
Pistons: 2 hole
Rear dampers got the long ball cups.

Tires: Tamiya 54d slicks all around

Body: HPI BMW 2002 Turbo

Works fine for me so far.
