I'll explain later when I've more time, my new M-06 is probably one of the finest, well behaved kits I've had the pleasure of building and driving. I've owned most every over priced top shelf sedan offered.

Hy Guys,
this weekend was another TCS here in my country.
i was the only attendee who battled with an M-06 against M-05s
And guys believe me, it took me very long for setting up with the right tires and general setup, but finally it was awesome !!
Due to the fact, that i got my M-06R(!) that late, only 2 days before the TCS, i did not build the car before the event. But i "upgraded" the new R Parts (Dampers, Suspension Mount and weights, red 2 degree Uprights) to my Pro model.
and believe me or not, i had to reduce the rear grip on this specific indoor track by changing the rear Uprights to 1 degree.(!)
i finally found following Setup:
Front and rear Dampers and damper positions as recommended by the R Manual. (400 oil, 3 holes front and rear).
As already described, i changed the uprights in the rear to 1 degree (the blue ones) and the weight was also added because it fits also on all other aluminium uprights... so i wonder if they will be sold seperatly sometimes...
NO Ball diff, but Kit Diff installed.
Tires were Type A in the Front and M-Grip in the rear !! Front tires were glued a little bit on the sides to prevent grip-roles.
and believe me the car was flying around the course. nothing but the driver could stop wining with this car this weekend.
I was the absolute fastest , but unfortunately i always made some little mistakes. and was steering to early and so on....
so i finished in second position, but i had it in my hands to win this race...

hi, no sway bars. just standard Pro Kit + "R" specific parts + stabilizer in the rear

My original set up was similar to yours, except that I didn't have the R spec parts. From day one, I never had a loose rear end on this car, however the front always pushed. I run on asphalt and cars was pretty stable, if I was a better driver I could have been competitive.
Yesterday I tried a set up that was a drastic change from my original and kit recommended. The person who game me this set up raced on both asphalt and carpet and swore to me that I would have so much traction, and steering that I would traction roll. I didn't believe him until yesterday.
Transmission: ball diff, tight
Rear:
Short Damper 60 wt 3 hole piston, longer piston shaft, no o rings for full droop
Spring Blue
Suspension tower link: middle hole
Camber - 2,0 degree
Ride height 5 mm
Toe in: standard 2 degree
Tyres: sweep 33 with pink soft insert
Front:
Short Damper 70 oil wt. 3 hole piston, standard mini piston shaft, 3 o rings, so car rides on suspension
Spring Yellow short
Suspension tower link: standard kit
Camber -1,0
Ride height 4 mm
Toe in: 0,50 (not toe out! )
Tyres: sweep 40 with pink insert
Tyre dressing: Paragon
Battery: in rear position with spacer in front
Body: Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA
Wheelbase: 225
No sway / stabiliser bars
With this set up, I had so much traction that it started to traction roll in the middle of the second main. I also had to reduce dual rate down to 50.. Way too much steering
I also learned that the car likes to be driven with throttle on the whole time. Do not let off into the turn, go to low instead, then mid turn apply power and pull out. I was able to turn some consistent laps.
Unfortunately I did not finish well due to a broken rim.

I can 100% confirm your comment within your article.
Same Tires do not have the same Grip!!
My experience during the last weekend was the same.
i changed m-grip to m-grip and the driving was completely different.
also i do have some pairs of M and S Grip where the S Grip have less traction then the M-Grips...
really not easy to find a valid general setup
