Kinda like installing the "hand brake" in an Arrma Infraction V2, or Felony?

Impressive driving. I’m guessing he has a gyro in there?

The ESC / Motor is HW Max 10 combo. Dampers are yeah racing.. not sure which length

I have dusted my M06 off the shelf and plan on running it this weekend on asphalt. Have not ran this in ages and it's been eons since asphalt days. Any set up recommendations for asphalt would be appreciated. 😉

Good luck with the 06…always liked mine, as a matter of fact 06s are easier to find here than 07/08s!

I would think they might still be competitive on a tight technical track?

I had it out yesterday and it was very dialled in. I ran it with the 3Racing high speed gears, 22/33 combo and it was right there with the M07 and 3Racing car. For tyres I dug out some old Shimizu 36° fronts and 30° rears. Was a lot of fun to drive!

If the track allows the high speed gears you can be competitive with the M07. I have an M08 as well but something told me that the heavier M06 with rear motor would be the ticket on asphalt. So far it looks promising.

I also had the MB01 with me. That needs a lot of work.

Yeah the MB looks like it’s a class on its own…i think you have some work ahead of you for it to be competitive.

insofar as the 06; etc, I try to keep the cars TCS legal so I don’t have to remember what to take off when I go to a race.

what diff gear did you use in the 06?

Oh I’m sorry you said 22/33

do you have a part number or link? Might be fun to try as my 06 is just collecting dust

this?

M06’s TCS days are long gone.. can’t meet the rules and have it be competitive with the M07/M08.. that’s why I’m using ii for club racing with the 3 racing gears.

diff I’m running the M05 ball diff. I contemplated that 3Racing diff, but for asphalt I think the ball diff will suffice

I think you’re right…an out of the box 07/08 is far superior out of the box. Nostalgia is a hard drug to shake though

couldn't agree more. I am a sucker for nostalgia and the underdog. The M06 was the first car that I placed 3rd with, in a TCS race of more than 15 entries. It will always remain special to me. The rear motor layout is like a Porsche 911.. the physics are against it.. so when it prove the critics wrong, its rewarding.

I love my m06 too... but the plastics are just so brittle...
Also, if tamiya made it easier to change droop on the m06, it would really help drivers love it more.

Agree.. had wished for a V2 with droop but never happened. I nicknamed the shiny plastic, I call it peanut brittle 😉
