hey murfdogg!
been testing with your motor and so far it seems very promising. I used the setup sheet you gave me for 13.5 boosted + tekin and the power was very good in the midfield. One question though - does this motor like a low FDR so it can produce top speed or does it want a higher FDR so it can max out the torque and RPMs?
throughout my testing, temps were at 150-170 F depending if motor timing was at 0 or -5 degs. Ambient temp here in the Philippines is about 95f in the afternoon.
thanks boss!

I think I may have over heated my 17.5 stock no boost on a tekin pro. I was geared at a 3.8 FDR on asphalt out door track. Air temp was 75 degrees. The motor came off at about 190. I was runing 5 degrees of advance. I had just changed motors from a D3 maximum advance that was running at 150-160 degrees. I took two pinion teeth away from the D3 setup. Was I running too much advance? Do these motors make more heat? Did I kill the motor? did i run too much running drag brake?
thanks for any help
