anyone have a super clean super minimalistic wiring job and what do you guys think of 14gauge instead of 12 guage wire?

HaRdWiReD 12-09-2013 12:57 AM

Yes, I want to see some ideas for this as well I always had a problem with clean wiring

ive sifted through about 50 pages and didnt find much only a few recent cars most are 1/12 scales and older cars some micros stuff like that so ya i was specifically wondering about the tc 6 and up

wtcc 12-09-2013 06:37 AM

If I start from the last page going to older pages I find Tamiyas, XRays, Awesomatix and two or three TC6.1. For example on page 159 and 160. As all the cars are very similar in layout, you should find a lot of inspiration...

salt water and water are similar only if you drink salt water you dehydrate yourself. the air we breath and the air in space are similar except you cant breathe in space...

and i only looked thru the first 50 not the last 50 but my wiring on the car is more efficient than that, and it could get better thats all thanks for looking those up though checked them out not impressed in the least

Please share your wiring techniques with us. Some of the work I found in the mentioned thread is awesome, but you aren't impressed at all. So please show us the "light" :) I would be glad to learn how to improve my wiring.

Noob question, what are the numbers on the turnbuckle end for? New to AE cars. And yes, I did a search but was unable to find the answer.

rc car guy 12-10-2013 08:44 PM

just the part number no reason

So you're telling me you saw posts like these:

TC6.1 WC
TC6.1 WC #2
TC6.1 WC #3

..and the list goes on as you go back through the thread, but you thought they weren't as good as the one you posted? Well, ok...

Here is mine, pretty messy by the standards of what is linked above, but I don't like cutting wires:

Also, the numbers are on the turnbuckles to indicate what mold the pieces came from. Nothing to do with part numbers.

looks good you should have posted yours best that ive seen on here I think you mentioned those before what I asked for was a super clean super minial wiring job

On a different note how are those aluminum screws in the top deck and bulkheads holding up? Do you have them on he underside of your car and how do you like your orca motor? 1

I personally liked the third one.

Yupp! Very impressive how all the wires towards the receiver are hidden
