wtcc - how do you mount your batteries ? What is that carbon fibre tab on the battery mount ?

wtcc 10-20-2012 03:47 PM

That is the Reflex Racing Battery Hold Down System. Just check their shop reflexracing.net! Christian has a lot of great products for us AE TC6 drivers.

don't say that yokomo holes are perfect for ae holes ;) ??????

Will the TC6 aluminum shock collars fit the TC3 aluminum shock bodies?

My TC6.1 World's Car came in today. I've been out of RC racing for 7 or 8 years or so and never raced on road. I've had quite a few AE vehicles in the past. This thing is all quality. I spent the evening putting it together. There's so many set up options on this thing! I just set it up like the instructions recommended. Anything different that I should do from what the instructions said? I am going to be racing on carpet with foam tires. 17.5T motors. Maybe 13.5T later on.

FYI:
Associated is selling TC6.1 for $250 on their website special.

Check out my latest Indoor Setup from Senden on PetitRC. Did a just for fun run with foam tires (26mm front and rear) and the car was even more awesome! You can't follow the car with your eyes so fast! I think I even broke the lap record ;)

@Michael: I had to drill one hole in front of the forward hole.

Thank you guys!

Here you go with a pic:

I don't have a picture from the bottom of the chassis. It is very easy. Make a 3mm hole 14mm in front of the most forward hole of the center line and countersunk it. Also cut away one little pin from the bottom side of the servo mount and thats it ;)

They had a warehouse sale for 1 day last week and I got one for $199. The whole reason I got sucked back in to on road.

Can someone direct me where to find info to correct front end chatter on my tc6 on roadcoarse turns? Car is being run in vta. Who's setup sheet would i most benefit from?

oceanhighz 10-21-2012 08:17 AM

the cvd's will chatter in the front end. Make sure your blades are good and the cvd is not by itself in the outdrive cup. DCj's will fix the front end chatter, but I never had an issue with the chatter causing much of a problem.
