Just add 2mm washer on shock shaft. Just bettwen spring retainer and ballcup. :) |
Im very happy about the TC6 and would like to find out if it's worth to sale it and upgrade to TC6.1.
Any feedback from someone that owns/ed both would be apreciated. Thanks |

I think that makes my issue worse.
In my 1st tc6 problem was how to set RH with ae springs. I just turn in collar and it almost reach end of shock body thread. Just adding 2mm spacer on shaft, moves spring and spring retainer 2mm up. Or I just do not get your problem :( sorry my english is bad :( Regards! m. |
TC6 Gear Diff Video...
I know putting putty in gear diff is probably not that hard to do but can someone do a putty gear diff you tube video?
Also which kit roll bar is equivalent to the TC6 black? And there's no sanding of gears in gear diff correct? Thanks |

Here is a picture of the front of the car with the shock collar all the way up. Can anyone see anything I've done wrong??

or8ital,
Is that a gear diff in the front? |

Looks like maybe you don't have the offset hinge pin blocks, which would contribute to the problem.

That does indeed fix it. I thought those were new to the 6.1 as a tuning option. Does that imply that the dial-a-grips would not work with the 6.1? or was it the lack of track width contributing to the problem? would have adding shims between the bulkhead and roll center block had the same effect?

The wider arms makes the length from the upper and lower shock mounts lower so you will lose some ride height. With the 6.1, they changed to the open rod end for the shock, which makes the spring retainer sit up a good bit more than the old shock end. You can trim some of the rod end off which should help. All that being said, I can have my car at around 2mm with RSD springs, and did not have to modify anything

Hmmm I must still have more going on. Put the RSD springs back on and can only go to about 4mm. I'll look at it more tomorrow at the track when I can compare to others.

To be clear, I'm just referring to the narrow hinge pin spacing causing the problem. How you get there (offset arm mounts, shims, dial-a-grips, etc) doesn't really matter. When the hinge pins are spaced outward, it increases the distance from the hole in the shock tower to the hole in the arm. Increasing the hinge pin spacing by 2mm would lower the car maybe 0.5mm +/- a bit depending on vertical / horizontal distance from lower to upper mount. Score one for Pythagoras. :) -Mike |
